Hotel Anteroom Naha aims to revitalize its neighborhood community through collaboration with contemporary art and its local culture. Inspired by the white cube space of galleries, the interior design is intended to be simple and minimal, which allows guests to focus on the artworks exhibited throughout the hotel. The façade, interior, and furniture were designed in close collaboration with artists, which convert the space itself into a piece of art.
Continue readingShunhui Tech is a ceramics exhibition hall located in China Ceramic City. The space presents a brand and its product system rather than only displaying goods. The layout follows one continuous route, inspired by the long take used in film, so visitors move forward without turning back. Scene changes are gradual and almost invisible, which supports an immersive visit. Rock slabs are used as the main surface material. The standardized production of rock slabs allows consistent delivery and shorter construction time.
Continue readingEternal Beauty is a sales center interior completed in 2020 in Liaoning, Taiwan. The project covers 1034 square meters. The design takes its themes from diamonds, fashion shows and catwalks. Clear lines and decorative art extend the space horizontally, so the lobby appears broad and open. Contemporary materials and techniques are used, and assorted art pieces are displayed as visual highlights. Light passes through an aluminum plate wall, while geometric elements and hanging mountain and rock landscapes form shifting shadows.
Continue readingJiangmen Gemdale Mingyue is a sales center located in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, China. The interior covers 600 square meters and presents the construction plans of new buildings to visitors, who can meet sales managers and buy homes on site. Lines and crystal elements are combined to create a harmonious spatial vision. The functional areas have no clear boundaries and are arranged in order across the space. Bird Paradise is the main theme, joining natural elements with local culture. Materials include white and crema Pinta stone, castle grey stone and bronze stainless steel.
Continue readingOneSmart International Education is the headquarters interior of a Chinese education brand in Putuo District, Shanghai. The interior occupies an eleven floor building from the last century and covers 12000 square meters. The space supports daily office work, meetings and public education activities. Curved installations made of spliced planks run through the building and reduce the visual weight of the structural columns in the narrow entrance area. Blue and white tones are combined with warm wood colors. A spiral staircase links the first and second floor reception areas.
Continue readingGemdale Casa Oia is the interior design of a property sales center in Beihai, China. The 1060 square meter space takes nature as its theme and expresses the relationship between mountain and sea. A minimalist design language narrates the rolling form of sea waves and translates the form into an art installation. Black, white, gray and warm tones are combined with hues drawn from the sea. Stone-like artworks on the walls show the transition of different blue shades. The materials include art paint, grey stone, cement stone and metal plate.
