The designer with an art background has found to adopt many oriental landscape painting composition principles and techniques, much like how the design team aimed at constructing an infinite interior evoking the natural grandeur and ambiance in Chinese landscape paintings, in pursuit of a strong artistic approach in re-compose natural landscape and warm colors as motifs to create with a strong visual tension, as well as elegance and comfort.

Continue readingInside the 4-storey car park, a dynamic atmosphere arises from the interplay of vibrantly coloured walls and floors, innovative traffic signs and striking contemporary graffiti. Connected to the entrance to the shopping mall is the B2 level of the car park, which is fitted with grids of light bulbs, metallic ceilings, red brick walls and checkered floors in the style of a classic theatre entrance.

One door, one tree, one stone, one table, one chair, several horizontal and vertical lines, and several vertical axes form the space glamour and rhymes to construct a balanced oriental realm. The sand table balances nature and space, and integrates the elements from the East with the elements of modern art to sort out the relationship between people, things and fields.The aisle is echoed between landscape paintings and modern marble sculptures.

In addition to art and visual beauty, designers think more about how to drive consumption from the perspective of operators and space design, and experience the pleasure of space and the sense of belongings from the perspective of consumers. The micro-landscape at the entrance of the restaurant subtly reappears the sloping Qiantang River, restoring the scene that the poetic Song dynasty literati who boiling tea at the poetic Jiangnan.
