Art Gallery

Museum of Art is an exhibition stand designed for a manufacturer of luxury bathroom basins, tubs and faucets at a trade fair. Traditional walls are replaced by black matte laminate fins with gray marbling, angled sharply toward the center of the stand. The fins offer privacy and still allow glimpses of the interior. Three showrooms present the products as individually lit art installations.

A ceiling of water corrugated stainless steel and glass lamps create the impression of an underwater setting. The layout forms semi-private areas that place a comfortable distance between diners.

Shine City

Shine City is a sales center in Chengdu, China, with an area of 1000 square meters. The interior design draws on the aesthetics of the Song Dynasty, a period associated with simple forms, plain colors and plain textures. Silk, used as a painting surface before paper, is the main design reference. Tawny wire glass screens are arranged in arrays to imitate the texture of silk. An installed art lamp recalls the cracked surface of Song Dynasty porcelain. Blank space and restrained detail create a calm and poetic atmosphere.
